Attend as a Player
Step 1 – View the schedule
You can look at the list of all the games on the main CanGames website by clicking on the schedule link in the menu or the button below. Take note of any games that you want to play in and decide which days you will be attending the con.
Step 2 – Sign up on CONGREgATe
Go to the new Congregate website using the button below and sign up as a player using the same email address as the one you used for your badge. If you can’t use the same email address for some reason, please explain this in the notes to organizers section.
Look at the full schedule on the registration system and sign up for any games you want to play in. You can change the games you are signed up for until the week before the show. You will get an email confirmation and be notified if there are changes to the games you registered for, such as if they are canceled for any reason.
Step 3 – Buy your badge, pre-reg tokens and shirts
In order to play games, you need to purchase a badge and sign up to each individual game. Note that you only need a badge if you want to play an event, meaning you can be a Game Master or visit the vendors for free! Convention volunteers can also get access to a free weekend badge. Add a badge to your cart.
Weekend Badge ($35 or $40)
Get a badge that allows you to register to play games throughout the convention in each of the 8 time slots. Most people choose this option and register online.

You can also purchase a single-day badge for friday only ($15), saturday only ($25) or sunday only ($25)
Family Weekend Badge ($100)
The family badge is a special package that provides weekend badges for 2 adults and up to 3 young attendees in accordance with the Young Attendees policy. The price for all of the family’s badges is only $100.
In addition to a badge, you can buy game tokens to let you sign up to games! Each token costs you $2 online, and allows you to reserve your spot in the game.
If you buy more game tokens than you actually use, you will be given the extras at the front desk.
If you don’t buy enough tokens for your game sign ups, you can pay for them at the front desk at a price of $2.50 each.
You can also order a CanGames T-shirt with art for the current year. For example, you can see an image of the 2025 Cangames black t-shirt on the left.
Step 4 – Join us at the Convention
Physically present yourself at the Rideau Curling Club to pick up your badge from the front desk. If you need to pay for a badge or event registrations, the folks at the front desk will be happy to help. You can also register for any game with space for free in the half-hour before that game.
Now you can start playing and have fun!
