Attend as a Player

Sneak a peek at the schedule of games via the website (Optional)

Check out our at-a-glance schedule for an easy-access, quick look across all our registered games! Note you cannot reserve games through the at-a-glance schedule (that’s what CON-GREgATE is for!), but it’s a great way to help you start planning your CanGames weekend.

Step 1 – Sign up on CON-GREgATe

Jump over to our new event management system (button below) and choose “Register as a Player” to get started. Fill in the Registration Form (above) and click “+Register” when done. Your CON-GReGATE registration should use the same email address as the one you’ll use for purchasing badges and tokens.
(If you can’t use the same email address, please provide both email addresses in the “Notes to Organizers” section of the Registration Form.)

Look at the full schedule on the registration system and sign up for any games you want to play in. You can change the games you are signed up for until the week before the show.  You will get an email confirmation and be notified if there are changes to the games you registered for, such as if they are canceled for any reason.

Step 2 – Sign up for games to reserve a seat

View the full list of Games via CON-GReGATE, using the handy filters to quickly find games that suit your play style and availability!

When you find a game that interests you, immediately see how many seats are left (pro-tip – click “Spots:…” to see who else has reserved). Click “Sign-Up” to reserve your seat at the table! If the game is full, you’ll be added to the Waitlist – if a spot becomes available, everyone on the waitlist will receive an email notifying them of the change, with the seat available via first-come, first-served.

NEW this year! Click the “Checkmark” to add games to your Personalized List if you’re still deciding (although you have until May 9 to cancel reservations in-system with no penalty).

You’ll receive a confirmation email for each Sign-Up and booking modification (check your Junk folder if you don’t see it). You’ll also receive notifications to any changes (such as cancelations) for your Sign Ups.

Online sign ups will be available until May 9th (Sunday before the convention), so check back frequently to see new games being added!

Each Sign-Up must be done by an individual CON-GREgATE account, if you are looking for support on registering minors or groups, please contact registration@cangames.ca.

Step 3 – Buy your badge, pre-reg tokens and shirts

Once your Convention schedule starts taking structure, it’s best to buy your Convention Badge for the days you’ll be attending and enough Pre-Registration Tokens to cover the games you’ve signed up for (pro-tip! Consider purchasing a couple extra for future additions!), which you can do right here on the CanGames website. You should also buy a shirt (or two). Online purchases can be made using all major credit cards, pay pal, or paid onsite at Registration.

Badges, tokens, and shirts are also available to purchase onsite during the convention at increased prices (see below).

Convention Badges

Player Badges allow attendees to play games during the convention for the specified timeframe (e.g. single day or weekend). Even if you have reserved a seat, you must have a valid Player Badge to play. Purchasing a badge is not needed to visit the event or marketplace. Convention volunteers should not purchase Player Badges and should contact volunteers@cangames.ca for questions.

Weekend Badge ($35 or $40)
Get a badge that allows you to register to play games throughout the convention in each of the 8 time slots. Most people choose this option and register online.

$35 online before May 10
$40 at the door
Free for volunteers!

You can also purchase a single-day badge for friday only ($15), saturday only ($25) or sunday only ($25)

Family Weekend Badge ($100)
This package deal includes Weekend Badges for 2 adults and up to 3 Young Attendees Badges. $100 when purchased online before May 10 ($100 onsite)

Convention Badges

Tokens allow attendees to reserve seats at games both in advance of the convention and during the event. Players who have pre-registered for games via CON-GReGATE should ensure they purchase sufficient tokens (or more!) to cover their game reservations or they will need to purchase additional tokens (at onsite prices) once at the convention.

Extra tokens purchased online (whether in excess of those needed for online reservations or just to take advantage of the online discount) can be used to reserve seats during the convention or carried forward to future conventions.

Tokens purchased online cost $2, whereas the cost increases to $3 per token onsite.

Cangames 2025 Shirt

T-Shirts

Our 2026 *Dragons and Dragoons* CanGames t-shirt comes in a variety of colours and all standard sizes in both Unisex and Women’s fits.

*Big News!* Our improved *premium* t-shirts are now softer, SO MUCH MORE comfortable.

Check Out!

Once you’ve added all your purchases to your cart, you’re good to check out! If you attended the convention last year (and purchased a badge) you can log in using the same information as before. If you are a new attendee – please ensure that you use the same email address when checking out your purchases as you used to register for CON-GReGATE.

You can pay for your purchases online using all major credit cards or pay-pal, or pay onsite at the convention when you pick up your Registration Packet using credit, debit, or cash.

Our online store is open until May 9th to purchase Badges and Tokens, and until April 9th for T-Shirt orders, so don’t hesitate to come back to buy more!

Step 4 – Join us at the Convention

Physically present yourself at the Rideau Curling Club to pick up your badge from the front desk. If you need to pay for a badge or event registrations, the folks at the front desk will be happy to help. You can also register for any game with space for free in the half-hour before that game.

Now you can start playing and have fun!
