Convention Date & Time
CanGames normally occurs on the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the Victoria Day long weekend in May. This year the event will be from the 15th until the 17th of May, 2026. The hours of operation are…
- Noon until 11.30 on Friday the 15th
- 8am to 11:30 on Saturday the 16th
- 8am to 11:30 on Sunday the 17th
Event Time Slots
The convention uses a set of eight, four-hour time-slots to schedule events with breaks between events. This means you can plan to attend up to eight distinct games.
- Friday Afternoon, from 2pm until 6pm.
- Friday Evening, from 7pm until 11pm.
- Saturday Morning, from 9am until 1pm.
- Saturday Afternoon, from 2pm until 6pm
- Saturday Evening, from 7pm until 11pm.
- Sunday Morning, from 9am until 1pm.
- Sunday Afternoon, from 2pm until 6pm.
- Sunday Evening, from 7pm until 11pm.
Some games will only require half of a time-slot, meaning that they will be completed within two hours. Those events will be identified as being early (in the first two hours) or late (in the last to hours). For instance, as game scheduled for Early Saturday Afternoon would be from 2pm until 4pm.
Vendor Hours
The majority of vendors at Cangames set up their booths on Friday afternoon, and pack them up Sunday afternoon. They will do their best to be open before, during, and between games at the con.
The Cangames Sale is a consignment booth run by the convention itself. The marketplace is only available from Saturday at 10am until 3pm.
